Adam Zelkind - Mentor

ADAM ZELKIND - Adam is an eight-time award winning songwriter, composer, and producer. He has created cutting edge music for more than 1,200 television episodes, feature films, records, and ads. His awards include ASCAP’s Most Performed Music on Television for two consecutive years.

Adam wrote & produced 8 songs for the feature film “The Big Ugly” on which he also served as the film’s executive music producer. His work has become a prominent force on many shows including the hit CW show Hart Of Dixie, having had 20 songs featured on this show. He co-wrote and produced The Crazy Z’s “My Favorite Show” which was the end title feature on the HBO hit series The Leftovers.

Easy McCoy

EASY MCCOY - Easy is a force in hip-hop music.

A veteran of the music industry, he brings a rare combination of ambition and wisdom to his storytelling with flows that will keep you invested in every track.

David Penn

DAVID PENN - David is the Co-Founder of Hit Songs Deconstructed. He is a recognized expert in the craft and trends behind hit songs and has been featured by Billboard, Variety, Music Week, Canadian Musician Radio, BMI, Financial Times, and the Economist, to name a few.

He also regularly guest lectures at top universities such as Berklee College of Music, NYU, and Frost School of Music, as well as at industry events such as Music Biz, DIY Musician Conference and others.

A music connoisseur of all time periods and genres, he is a “go-to” consultant for songwriters, producers, publishers and labels.

abi Kochlani

GABI KOCHLANI - A Los Angeles native, Gabi Kochlani has been working in the music biz for 20 years. 

Passionately driven to help artists, songwriters and producers, Gabi has held various A&R and management positions at major labels, publishing & management companies including Elektra, EMI Music, and Bump Into Genius/Warner Chappell Music.

Currently, Gabi is the Senior A&R Director at Universal Music Group where she continues to sign and develop talent for the roster.

Most recently, Gabi was instrumental in getting Alesso & Liam Payne's latest track "Midnight" heard worldwide which became a smash hit.

Andy Ross - Mentor

ANDY ROSS - Andy has over 25 years of diversified experience in the music industry including stints as an artist manager, label chief, and publisher, and now, a music supervisor.

Andy controls a rolodex that spans the globe, boasting exceptional relationships with international players across Europe, Asia, and the USA.

Ross has extensive experience in music rights management and exploitation, working to craft and implement creative strategy for over 100 commercial productions most notably Audi, Volkswagen, NFL, and PlayStation, 150 feature films, 75 soundtrack albums and numerous television shows while simultaneously growing and maximizing catalog assets for company and clients.

Suzan Koc - Mentor

SUZAN KOC - Suzan is a true international publisher. She started her career at Warner Chappell in Paris, France, where she signed the Swedish pop band Ace of Base. 

In 1996, Suzan was hired by the prestigious English boutique company Hit & Run Music, to work in their New York office. In 1997, she was transferred to Los Angeles where she was instrumental in developing the career of songwriter Shelly Peiken (What a Girl Wants, Christina Aguilera - Almost Doesn’t Count, Brandy - Who You Are, Jessie J).

In 2003, while at BMG Music Publishing she introduced songwriters Wally Gagel and Xandy Barry who are now the production team WAX ltd (Family of the Year, Zella Day, Muse, Redlight King…). In 2010, during her first year at the newly formed BMG Rights Management, she worked with songwriters busbee (Pink’s ”Try”), David Gamson (Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger”), Jean Baptiste (Black Eyed Peas, Chris Brown), Jonas Jeberg (Demi Lovato, Pussy Cat Dolls).

Suzan started Songwriters Rendezvous with Suzan Koc in 2008, she has been grooming numerous songwriters, including MILCK, the voice of the 2017 Women's March, who, after going viral with her song "Quiet" (15 million views in 48 hours), signed with Atlantic Records. 

Suzan is determined to keep her ears fresh and stay in tune with the changes. Her approach to music is of a true art lover. She currently teaches Music Publishing and other songwriting related classes at both the prestigious Musician’s Institute in Hollywood and UCLA Extension.

1. APPLY - Fill out your application today to be considered for The Billboard 500 Club. This is for serious musicians only willing to invest in their career every month.

2. SCHEDULE - If your application is accepted by the Board of Directors, you'll schedule your Zoom interview with our Customer Care Representative.

3. INTERVIEW - We'll evaluate you even further to make sure your vision, goals, and expectations are in line with the club. We are very serious about this interview. Be prepared to be honest and open.

4. INVITATION - After the interview, you'll receive an invitation (if you are a good fit) to join the Billboard 500 Club. Only 500 people will be accepted. Let's see if you are one of them.

Not accepted? Don't worry, we won't leave you hanging. You'll be given an action plan for what to do next so you continue to grow and feel supported on what to do next.
